Here at Luxa, we rant and rave about the benefits of going paperless. However, a lot of companies still hesitate when considering making the switch.
As you probably know, doing paperwork does takes a BIG toll on employees and your company. Yet, the dependence on paper still remains.
Going paperless at work…will it work?
So why do people still hesitate to switch to a Digital Management System?
A lot of companies feel that it’s more secure to have hard copies on them, especially if its a company that has to worry about law suits or government regulations.
These companies believe that it’s not safe to rely on technology, since things can “easily be lost or destroyed.” This is perhaps the most significant fear.
However, if you are in this boat, you should know that all Digital Management Systems have backup recovery systems.
It is almost impossible to lose or destroy data in this day and age. The people who create the software for these systems have to take entire courses on how to apply security measure on large database systems, so you can guarantee that you are in good hands.
On top of that, there is a ton of research dedicated solely to learning how to quickly search large databases, so there is also no need to fear that you won’t be able to find your files.
A lot of companies also hesitate because they assume that the transition is complicated. However, we’ve seen in the last post that it doesn’t need to be that way!
We aren’t going to drag on and on about why its beneficial to switch to a paperless system, for we have already done that enough!
I just hope that if you are in a position where you a hesitating to make the switch, that you take what we just discussed into consideration.
